Skiresort
The ski resort Ötztal Arena boasts with 150km of marked piste which can be appreciated by all abilities. It enjoys 100% snow guaranty between November and May due to the 2 glaciers Rettenbach and Tiefenbach and perfect slope shaping. It is also a paradise for all freeriders who like to go off-piste as well as for freestylers as they find a 6ha big snowpark with kickers, boxes, rails and walls (see below). A race course and mogul track make it the perfect skiresort for alpine wintersport people.

The longest run takes 13 km and includes an altidude difference of 1900 m. Modern lifts take you quickly up the mountain without long time of waiting! Sölden is the only Austrian ski resort having 3 summits above 3000m which you can ski on through lifts taking you up, called "BIG3". Numerous huts, bars and restaurants "invite" you for a drink, some Austrian food or a fancy party! Events and Shows as well as a night slope make the ski resort be quite diversified! By the way, up at the glacier you find the first igloo village of Austria - the "Schneedorf Sölden". For the cross-country fans there is a track in Sölden as well as a cross-country centre in our neighbour-village Längenfeld for those who like to explore.

SNOWPARK
The funpark "BASE Winterpark" in Sölden is located at the Giggijoch and has the fantastic size of 6ha! A real paradise for all the freestylers out there! Different obstacles just as kickers, corners, diamonds etc. and rails just as straight rails, kinked rails, double kinked or rainbow rail provide a great playground. If it´s enough snow you´ll also find a half-pipe! If you need a break in between your session you can chill-out at the chill-out corner, listen to music and talk to other riders and skiers! Kids got their own extra snowpark. The parks are shaped regulary by professional park rangers and pipe designer like von Zaugg.
